10 of my favourite motivational sayings.

Whether they grind your gears for the better or not, motivational sentences can really resonate with some people. Sometimes a wee reminder, or a new way to think about a situation may be all you need to find some new motivation or regain a positive mind set.


The hardest thing about exercise is to start doing it.




  1. Repeat after me, I am no longer available for things that make me feel like shit.

  2. Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.

  3. Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other three tyres because you got a flat.

  4. We need to stop glamorizing overworking, please. The absence of sleep, good diet, exercise, relaxation, and time with friends and family isn't something to be applauded. Too many people wear their burnout as a badge of honour. It needs to change.

  5. Don't be upset about the results you didn't get, from the work you didn't do.

  6. Your energy is currency. Spend it well. Invest it wisely.

  7. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn.

  8. If you want to achieve big things, do the small things right.

  9. The biggest thing holding you back is almost always... you. start there.

  10. Think of your workouts as important meetings you've scheduled with yourself. Bosses don't cancel.
